We rely on skilled local people to help with operations in and around the Tongariro National Park. If you have a solid grasp of alpine travel (skiing and climbing) and are familiar with the Ruapehu area and are based in the Turangi/National Park/ Ohakune areas then consider joining us. It takes a lot of commitment and time to be part of a rescue team but is also very rewarding.
Another way in which you can help us is by donations. We are always looking for funds for training exercises and or new equipment to ensure we can do the best job possible.
