Around 12 RARO members including personnel from OPC, RAL and DOC had a great afternoon up on the Whakapapa glacier performing our annual avalanche rescue training scenario. Sean from Whakapapa ski patrol had arranged a great setup with 6 buried victims to find. Freddie managed to get Heidi, Hayley, Couchy and Ice the dog over from Turoa. We had a solid debrief at knoll ridge chalet. Key learnings will be distributed to the RARO crew soon. Here are some photos of the scene from today.
